YDC Profile

Introduction

Youth Diversity Challenge (YDC) is a registered education and training provider, Ref. No.: 22389 and OCR registered GCSE centre Ref. No.: 14325.

YDC deliver supplementary support initiatives to schools as an alternative provision for students ranging from year 8’s to year 11’s who are on the verge of exclusion or being excluded from mainstream education.

We are a team of educated, enthusiastic and positive individuals who are dedicated to enhancing the future of young people in the community. YDC works in partnership with schools, and local councils (Children’s Services) many other statutory educational bodies. Our specialist team of tutors and key workers are all CRB checked before coming into contact with young people.

Our Mission

To guide young people away from the negative influence of the streets which has an adverse effect within the wider community – whilst providing them with positive life skills? YDC works with young people, parents and carers to achieve positive outcomes.

About our Work

YDC works to support mainly secondary schools by working with individual students or small groups of students who display difficult and challenging behavioural issues within the schools’ environment. Our work focuses on specific areas around personal and social developments, working with parents and carers to influence personal change within this specific group. We provide supplementary programmes that follow the national curriculum in a bite size form.

YDC also have centres’ in various boroughs that offer placement solutions or respite care for students who find school difficult to manage. An important part of YDC’s role is to run extensive mentoring programmes within the school setting that focuses on breaking down barriers to learning for groups of up to 15 students.
